make a stand month
Stand Against Violence’s annual ‘Make A Stand Month’ is Coming Up! What is Make A Stand Month? Make A Stand Month is a campaign month throughout the whole of September. It was created to observe, commemorate, and acknowledge the National Day of Non-Violence on the 25th September, the anniversary of Lloyd’s death. It is a month in the year where we focus on raising awareness of violence even more, as well as the charity and what we do. We want to encourage people to fundraise for SAV throughout the whole month to raise funds so that we can continue our vital work.

What are you doing this September to Make A Stand Against Violence? Here’s some easy ways that you can get involved;

· Promote Stand Against Violence on social media (SAV socials: @Saviolence)

· Join in with our Make A Stand Month campaign

· Encourage work/family/friends to wear red on National Day of Non-Violence (25th September), take a picture to post online, and each person donates £1.

· Attend our outdoor cinema event at Taunton Racecourse on Saturday 7th September – proceeds of the event are all going to the charity.

· Do your own fundraising – hold an event or get sponsored to do an activity.
