WE MAKE A
STAND AGAINST VIOLENCE
Stand Against Violence works in communities throughout the UK to give people a chance to live in a world without violence.
The charity was established in 2005 in response to the murder of 17-year-old Lloyd Fouracre, who was beaten to death by a group of drunken youths.

THERE ARE 1.9 MILLION INCIDENCES OF VIOLENCE IN ENGLAND AND WALES EACH YEAR
60% of these incidents involve young people (15-24 years) and assault is the 2nd leading cause of hospital admissions for males aged 15-24 years.
Our core objectives
- Promoting good citizenship among young people
- Equipping young people with the skills they need to handle and avoid potentially violent situations
- Deliver anti-violence workshops, practical self-defence and vital first aid lessons in school and youth organisations
- Develop new and innovative educational resources combating the causes of violence in our communities
For 2019 we have achieved:

Our unique and inspiring workshops have been shown to reduce youth engagement in violence.
94% of young people report that our workshops have positively changed their attitude towards violence.
We’ll never know how many lives we save, but preventing even one incidence of violence stops countless people from being affected.
VIOLENCE IS PREVENTABLE, IF WE CHOOSE IT
There are still 1.9 million incidences of violence in England and Wales each year. Since 2002 there have been numerous reports and evidence produced that has proven effective at reducing violence yet very little of it has been acted upon.
