End of the night, end of a life

Friday 20th September, 2013

Following one of our youth offending workshops we had a young man approach us asking if he could produce a rap for us.

During the session the young man's attitude was troublesome. He appeared to be totally uniterested in what we were doing and saying. It seemed like we were wasting our time talking to him.

Then he produced this:

Encase you didnt make them out these are the lyrics:

On the September 25th in 2005

They attended a party and yet felt so alive

But what they didn’t know was that at the end of the night

there would be an end of a life

and how in ended in a fight

I guess it was tragic

I wonder why the angels didn’t work on their magic

The wooden parking sign why did the attackers grab it

He jumped on that idea like a rabbit

It was a shock to Lloyds friends as they all stood static

On the September 25th in 2005

They attended a party and yet felt so alive

But what they didn’t know was that at the end of the night

there would be an end of a life

and how in ended in a fight

Beaten to death it was a bloody mess

But now he is in heaven and he is at rest

He will always be with you so may the family be blessed

It was on t.v and even in the press

who did the attackers need to impress

think about the family friends as they all in stress

how this tragic reaction ended in death

On the September 25th in 2005

They attended a party and yet felt so alive

But what they didn’t know was that at the end of the night

there would be an end of a life

and how in ended in a fight

an innocent life taken in murder

they had to take things that little bit further

bad decisions and sad regret

why was there so little respect

death is hard to accept

On the September 25th in 2005

They attended a party and yet felt so alive

But what they didn’t know was that at the end of the night

there would be an end of a life

and how in ended in a fight

alcohol makes bad decisions

tears life apart worse than demolition

stand against violence is on a mission

to make violence on the streets a thing of fiction

keep the alcohol in the kitchen

and stop yourself from switching

On the September 25th in 2005

They attended a party and yet felt so alive

But what they didn’t know was that at the end of the night

there would be an end of a life

and how in ended in a fight

why would you do that we are all distant relatives

It was evident that the young man had taken everything we had said on board and had actually drawn a conclusion himself.

It was an inspirational moment and we thank Blazer MC for producing this fantastic piece of work.
