Stand Against Violence at London Peace Conference

Sunday 15th January, 2017

IPYG conference
Panel DiscussionCEO of Stand Against Violence, Adam Fouracre joined others working in the fields of peace and citizenship as a part of a panel at a London conference.

The conference organised by the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) and the International Womens Peace Group (IWPG) looked at the progressive empowerment of women and youth asking the question 'what can I do that matters?'

The conference was attended by 110 people from all different areas of society and work. The objective was to look at what individuals and organisations can do to empower women and youth to bring about a future of peace and positive change.

Adam said, 'this was the first panel discussion I have been asked to be involved in. Whilst it was a little nerve-wracking it was a positive experience and great to be involved with.'

IPYGStand Against Violence and IPYG have been working together for the last few months on developing an educational project to look at global violence prevention and development of peace. Coming months will hopefully see the finalisation and testing of the new project/workshop which is hoped to be rolled out to schools in our respective areas of operation.
