On the 29th July 2015 the 2nd annual Stand Against Violence fun day for children will take place on the Castle Green and Goodlands Garden. The aim of the day is for the community to come together and have so fun. The day will feature will feature a host of stalls, circus activities, face painting, music, photo booth, rides, bouncy castle and of course food.

Kevin Smith Trustee for SAV says “We are so exciting about this years fun day as not only have more businesses helped out this time around but we will also be joined by the fabulous Taunton Sparkle. This year promises to be everything last year was and more”

Adam Fouracre CEO Stand Against Violence says "I strongly believe that one key to violence prevention is enhancing and strengthening communities and engaging with all ages. That is why events such as the fun day and the Christmas lights, which bring the community together and raise community spirit are so important to our cause.”

Kelly Durdan of Taunton Sparkle says “I am really proud to be helping SAV with their 2nd Fun Day. The link between Taunton Sparkle and SAV is going to be amazing which the community will benefit from over the coming months. I hope families will come along and enjoy this great day.”

You will see more of the SAV / Taunton Sparkle tie in over the next couple of months leading up to Taunton Sparkles main event on 28th November 2015.

Also appearing at the event will be Go Create. Kevin Smith says “Diane and Jenny from Go Create have played a massive part in the project Constellation which is the theme for SAVs 10th anniversary event on 25th September 2015. Come along and see Diane and Jenny on there stall and go create some wicked stars”.

Wish upon a star aims to get close to 2,000 stars decorated by local children, the stars represent a lost loved one and will be displayed along side stars designed by businesses featured in an insanely awesome maze structure on the Castle Green. Once children have decorated their star they will be invited to an evening parade where SAV will turn the whole of the Castle Green into a massive constellation via a pico light display.
